The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Urgent Emergency Care (UEC) Hub is a partnership between community, ambulance, primary care, acute services, and social care that brings together a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), that can prevent avoidable ambulance dispatches and conveyances, emergency department (ED) attendances and hospital admissions.
The UEC Hub ensures timely transfer of appropriate patients from ambulance stack into alternative receiving services by improving interoperability.
The service operates 7 days per week, from 8am to 8pm, and is accessible to healthcare professionals only. It accepts urgent / same day response referrals for patients who are registered with a Cambridgeshire & Peterborough GP practice, and aged 18 or over.
