GP Registrars

Medical education

Granta Medical Practices are training practices and will often have GP Registrars attached to the practice for general practice training. A GP Registrar is a fully qualified doctor undertaking further training in order to practice as a GP. Part of the training involves assessing communication skills and video recording of some consultations is an important part of this assessment. Permission is always sought beforehand and refusal will not offend in any way. After the consultation you have the option to change your mind and have the recording cleared.

We are also involved in the teaching of medical students from the University of Cambridge Medical School and student nurses from Anglia Ruskin University. You will always have the option to refuse to have students present and refusal will not offend in any way.
