LTC Bloods
Bariatric Surgery
After bariatric surgery, your body absorbs nutrients differently, which can lead to deficiencies. Why is this important?
Low levels of iron, B12, folate, Vitamin D, and calcium can cause serious problems like anaemia, bone disease, and nerve issues.
What we do:
- Annual blood tests for iron, B12, folate, Vitamin D, calcium
- Full blood count
- Liver and kidney function tests
These checks help us make sure you get the right supplements to stay healthy.
Coeliac Disease
Even if you feel well on a gluten-free diet, regular checks are essential.
Why is this important?
Coeliac disease can cause nutrient deficiencies and increase your risk of other autoimmune conditions.
What we do:
- Coeliac serology (to check diet adherence)
- Full blood count and ferritin (for anaemia and iron levels)
- Calcium, Vitamin D, B12, folate
- Screening for diabetes and thyroid disease
