Patrick is a Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland graduate who undertook GP training with the Trinity College Dublin GP specialist training scheme. Subsequently, he completed a PhD as part of the Health Research Board PhD Scholars Programme in Health Services Research while working as a GP and lecturer at the Department of General Practice, RCSI, Dublin, Ireland. Prior to joining Shelford Medical Practice and THIS Institute at the University of Cambridge, Patrick was an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the School of Primary, Aboriginal and Rural Health Care at the University of Western Australia.
