Jenny joined the practice in 2010 having worked in General Practice, Accident & Emergency and a Minor Injuries Unit. She works alongside GPs assessing, diagnosing and treating patients or referring as appropriate. She works as part of the Rapid Access team as well as specialising in Diabetes and takes part in some teaching such as Basic Life Support. She has a keen interest in promoting healthy lifestyles which has resulted in the publication of the Health Passport. She is lead nurse for CATCH ( Local commissioning group)

Outside her work at the practice she is actively involved at national level trying to secure agreed standards and properly funded training for Nurses working in General Practice. Her roles include Royal College of GPs Nurse Champion, Health Education England General Practice Nurse (GPN) Strategy group, Queen Nursing Institute GPN standards group, CQC specialist Advisor and is a former chair RCN Advanced Nurse Practitioner Forum.

I was a staff nurse in A+E before joining general practice in 1991, I have worked in various surgeries in Hertfordshire, Essex and now Cambridgeshire. I did the Nurse Practitioner degree course at the RCN in London. I have been working as a nurse practitioner since 2001. I also did a second job running the family planning clinic in Royston for over 5 years, where I learnt to fit contraceptive IUD (coils) and still have an interest in contraception.

Special interests: Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Manages the practice Travel Clinic and Childhood Immunisations as well as all general nursing duties.

Special Interests: Family Planning and Cervical Cytology. She is also involved with the childhood immunisations and all general nursing duties.

Special interests: Wound management, Leg ulceration, Doppler Ultrasound clinics, Compression hosiery and assisting with minor surgery. Routine Change of Male or Female Urinary Catheters. Carers.

Kirstie Rowlandson Practice Nurse

Special Interest: Travel Clinicc and Wound Management. Deals with Childhood Immunisations, Cervical Cytology and all general nursing duties.

Sian Clifton Practice Nurse

Worked for 2 years in California in Obs and Gynae. Then as a Practice nurse on and off since 1988, and has been a Practice nurse at Linton since 2001. Special interest in Diabetes,Travel Health and Childhood immunisations. All aspects of treatment room duties and Clinical Research.

Claire Wade Registered Nurse and Midwife

Family Planning Trained and Asthma and COPD Diploma qualified

Health Centre in 2001, covering all aspects of nursing care including immunisations - both adult and baby, travel health advice, women's health,smears, consulting in and assisting in vasectomies , ear syringing, contraceptive advice, asthma, COPD, minor and complex wound management, health checks,spirometry, ECG and phlebotomy.

Anne Greenwood Advanced Nurse Practitioner /Nurse Manager

RGN (1980), BSc (Hons) Nurse Practitioner(2000), FP Cert, Independent and Supplementary Nurse Prescriber

Is skilled in examination, diagnosis and treatment of patients. She consults alongside the GPs during morning surgery and runs her own specialist clinics including long term medical conditions, smoking cessation, women's health, teenage health and family planning.

She manages her own minor surgery sessions. Patients can be referred after assessment by their GP. She is also involved with the training of medical students and GP registrars.

Fiona Wharton Advanced Nurse Practitioner

I trained as both a nurse and midwife in the 1980s and had a career break in the 1990s whilst living in Belgium for 5 years and having three children. I started working at Linton in 2005, initially as a practice nurse and more recently after extensive training, as an advanced nurse practitioner.

I have been married for 28 years to Peter and we have a Dutch steel motor cruiser on which we append quite a lot of time, mostly on the Cam and Great Ouse. I also enjoy reading, travel, swimming and walking the dog and I am an active member of my local church.

Cathy Walton Nurse Practitioner

RGN, Dipl. N.

Cathy joined the practice in 2013, having worked in general practice since 1995. She works as part of the Rapid Access Team, assessing, diagnosing and treating patients that need to be seen urgently that day. Her main interest is respiratory care and she reviews patients with asthma and COPD.

On a local level, Cathy is the lead COPD nurse for CATCH and helps to promote COPD education for staff in the CCG.

Barbara Carroll Practice Nurse

Qualifications: Registered General Nurse. Registered Midwife, A&E Nurse, Autonomous Practitioner in Minor Injuries. Advanced First Aid Trainer and teaching qualification. Advanced training in Cervical Screening, Childhood Immunisation, Hypertension and Coronary Heart Disease, Diabetes, Ear Care and Microsuction.

Runs weekly sessions for long term medical conditions and Health Checks. Manages both the Ambulatory Blood pressure and Microsuction Ear Care Clinic from appointments to reviews. Lead Nurse for Infection Control within Sawston site.

Mrs Tina Chapman Practice Nurse

Previous specialty areas infectious diseases and occupational health. now general treatment room work with speacial interest in diabetes and travel health.

Outside of work I enjoy walking up the hills in the lake district.
